At the end of the 1,000-year reign of Jesus then will be the final destruction of the evil ones. My God, how many armageddons do we need? The first one was the Flood when all of the wicked people on the earth and not so wicked animals were destroyed by the hand of God. Then we have the fast approaching destruction by God that has been heading our direction for the past 103 years and finally the third Armeggedon at the end of the 1,000 years.

Wt's long term time speculations.
by waton inlast week's wt study, sept. 25 - oct, 1 , contains a wording often repeated in old publications, that is at variance with the bible's reading , (no surprise here), wherein wt writers have consistently insisted that the universal sovereignty issue will be settled by,- or at the end of the 1000 year reign.
this erroneous rendering of the events following satan's release after the millennium is again used in par.
"--it will not be until the end of his thousand year reign that all his enemies will be completely destroyed.." .

When God takes a day off!
by eyeuse2badub init’s really a bitch when god takes a day off.
he’s supposed to be watching over all things-except when he doesn’t and he can control any situation-except when he doesn’t.. so he gets all the credit for the good things that are and that happen due to his “dynamic energy”.
it must be tiring because he obviously takes days off.

It always bugged me when some people from a large group would die and the survivors would say that God protected them. Why didn't God protect the ones that died? If God protected people in Las Vegas then he was just as bad as the shooter...picking winners and losers.

"The shootings in Las Vegas show how much we need God's Kingdom"
by Sour Grapes inmy jw wife, like all of us, was saddened by the senseless killings in nevada.
she said, "the shootings just shows how much we need god's kingdom.
" i replied, "yes if it was armageddon, jehovah wouldn't have left any survivors.

If you die the day before Armageddon breaks out you will be resurrected. If you die the next day during Armageddon you are a goner. The first Armageddon (the flood) did not have a happy ending and I can't see why the second Armageddon will be any better.

Since October 1914 we have been in the last days. By my calculations that has been about 37,595 days so far and counting. 103 years sounds so much better and shorter. Maybe God is waiting for the body count to go up since every day over 250,000 people are added to the world's population. The longer he waits the more dead bodies the witnesses will have to bury.

When is the last time you saw an educated middle class family become Jehovah's Witnesses?
by xjwsrock inwe know from casual observation that if anybody does respond to their preaching/recruiting work it is usually someone that is a social misfit in some way or a person that was indoctrinated early in life.. think about all the nicer neighborhoods witnesses preach in.
if a family of four with a father that is an engineer and a mother who is a medical professional ever walked into a kingdom hall for the first time and said they were studying, people would faint.
lol.... this of course isn't what you would expect from a religion backed by the ultimate intelligent creator.

In the early 1970's we had entire normal families come into the troof. By 1977 they all left because they were lied to.

My JW wife, like all of us, was saddened by the senseless killings in Nevada. She said, "The shootings just shows how much we need God's Kingdom." I replied, "Yes if it was Armageddon, Jehovah wouldn't have left any survivors." That made her stop and think for a moment.
I am sure that all JW's will say how terrible the killings were but they don't bat an eyelash when they pray for God's Kingdom to come and usher in a paradise earth where 99.9% of the world's population will be murdered by Jehovah.
With glee, they are in eager anticipation of surviving Armageddon into a world with billions of dead rotting bodies everywhere, no power grid, no running water, no heat or air conditioning and having the elder window washers barking out orders on who gets to bury the dead. I am sure that the pioneers and ministerial servants will get to supervise while the elders wait for instructions from Tony Morris and goofy Lett.
Who is going to be in charge of rationing out the toilet paper? My guess it will be the Special Pioneers.
This just makes me Sour Grapes.

Worldly people
by Akid48 inas i have come to see i have way more friends at school than my kingdom hall but if i get asked about school and i say something about my friends or ask to hang out with my friends to my aunt she gives me a talk about not to like worldly people to much.. for example i ask to go to my friends house (that is a girl)i have known her from 1st grade and my aunt gets mad at me saying what if she says i raped her or something but she lets me go by my self with brothers to hang out if i want but theres a chance i will get raped there to.. read my other posts to understand my story .

I have always hated how the Witlesses use the term "worldly" which always implies something negative. The Bible clearly states that "God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son." If Jehovah loves worldly people there is no reason why we shouldn't.

by dubstepped inepisode 3 is now out and available on itunes or whatever you use, as well as my site, linked below.

I have listened to all three podcasts. They are very interesting and any former JW will relate to the life experiences of dubstepped. If you have any friends that are considering entering the cult and giving up on their actual life and living only for the future paradise, they need to listen to the podcasts. I look forward to more podcasts.

Counting Field Service Time
by Sour Grapes insomething that always drove me crazy was when the jw's would say after the meeting on sunday, "i have to go out this afternoon to get my time in.
" in the car group after service someone would always ask, "so how much time did we get?".
it the watchtower company said that turning in time is no longer required because jehovah knows what we are doing to serve him, there would be a tremendous drop in the door to door activity and the coffee cart work.

Something that always drove me crazy was when the JW's would say after the meeting on Sunday, "I have to go out this afternoon to get my time in." In the car group after service someone would always ask, "So how much time did we get?"
It the Watchtower Company said that turning in time is no longer required because Jehovah knows what we are doing to serve him, there would be a tremendous drop in the door to door activity and the coffee cart work. At first their would be very little decline just to prove to everyone that counting time was not the reason for going into service. Then after going out in service for several months and now not recording hours, magazines, return visits, etc. on a piece of paper, it would get old very quickly.
It is all about counting time. A brother could mistreat his wife and children, not be honest at his place of employment, and flirt with the opposite sex, and still be recommended and appointed by holy spirit to be an elder if he has 10 hours a month in service on his publisher card.
Something that always bothers the Witlesses when they are on their coffee cart duty, ask them if they are counting time? When they knock on your door ask them if they are counting time. Would you be at my door if you couldn't count time? It is just so silly.
